Volunteer with UC College of Law
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the UC College of Law. Alumni like you provide our students with vital personal and professional development opportunities.
Please review the following ways you can get involved with the college and register using the online form if you would like to volunteer for any of the opportunities described here. Many opportunities are driven by student demand, so you will be contacted as activities become available.
Contact Shelley Johnson, Law alumni liaison, or 513-556-6154 with questions about getting involved.
Share your time, talents and expertise with a law student whose interests intersect with yours.
Counsel a prospective student and let them know how Cincinnati Law can help them forge their professional career. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to serve as speakers and table hosts during admissions events.
The Coffee Hour and a Half program gives current students the opportunity to network with alumni and hear their professional perspectives. Coffee, pastries and parking validation always provided.
Through “Dinner with Bearcats,” our alumni host current/incoming students for dinner in their homes or at restaurants for an evening of networking and socializing. Share your law school experience, give career advice, and inspire the next generation of Bearcats.
Dean’s Luncheons are an opportunity to meet Dean Verna Williams and host a group of current students for lunch and networking. Alumni can share their career paths and unique experiences in a fun and casual environment.
Promote, attend and assist at alumni or fundraising events on or off campus. Examples of events in need of alumni volunteers include: Law Alumni Networking Socials, Annual Alumni Reunion, and Law Distinguished Alumni Luncheon.
Throughout the year, Cincinnati Law Moot Court Honor Board hosts competitions in need of alumni judges. Each round is approximately 90 minutes and judges are provided with scoring criteria.
If you know of an internship or full-time opportunity within your company or organization, these positions can be shared on-campus to help connect our students.
As an alumnus, you know firsthand how a Cincinnati Law education prepares you for the legal profession. Why not bring another Bearcat on board at your company?
