DAAP Alumni Council

The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning Alumni Council is an advisory volunteer group that supports the UC Alumni Association and the College. Council members serve as thought partners, engagement ambassadors, and advocates for DAAP alumni initiatives. Members contribute through a variety of opportunities—including, but not limited to, DAAPX and DAAPmade—and help shape, promote, and support programs and activities that strengthen lifelong connections between alumni and the college.

Electrical engineering alumna honored for influential work

January 9, 2026

Jean Savage has spent decades making an impact in the manufacturing and rail industries in top roles. Savage was honored by the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science with the Herman Schneider Distinguished Alumni Award. This award honors one outstanding alumnus each year whose career has reflected a large measure of acclaim on our academic departments and disciplines they represent.

World class: Alumni travel program connects Bearcats on global scale

January 7, 2026

Most people have a natural curiosity to see the world. Meanwhile, most Bearcats enjoy being around other Bearcats. Alumni can check both boxes through the UC Alumni Association’s travel program, which offers about half a dozen excursions each year to fascinating places around the globe.

UC launches Bearcat Affordability Grant

January 7, 2026

The University of Cincinnati is making college more attainable for students across Ohio with the creation of the Bearcat Affordability Grant. The new grant will provide a pathway to tuition-free college for students of families who make less than $75,000 per year. Beginning in fall 2026, the Bearcat Affordability Grant will cover the remaining cost of tuition for Ohio residents who are Pell eligible.
