Understanding Fair Housing Rights and Ohio Landlord-Tenant Laws

UC students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to join us for a webinar on Fair Housing Rights and Ohio Landlord-Tenant Laws. This session will provide crucial information to help navigate housing issues effectively.

This webinar will cover the Fair Housing Act, including protected classes, common discrimination issues and how to file complaints. It will also explain key aspects of Ohio Landlord-Tenant Laws such as rights, responsibilities, lease agreements, security deposits, rent, evictions, and maintenance obligations. Additionally, practical tips and resources will be provided for tenants, including best practices and available support services.

LaTonya Springs is the Assistant Director of Housing Opportunities Made Equal, a Cincinnati-based civil rights nonprofit working to eliminate housing discrimination. With a degree in Communication from the University of Cincinnati College of Arts & Sciences and an Executive MBA from Xavier University, LaTonya is a dedicated advocate for fair housing. A lifelong Cincinnatian, she grew up in Mt. Auburn. Currently residing on Cincinnati's Westside, LaTonya is also known for her passion for gardening.
