Love Wins: A Conversation with Jim Obergefell

Join the UC Alumni Association and the UC LGBTQ Center for an intimate evening with civil rights advocate Jim Obergefell (CECH '90). Mr. Obergefell was the plaintiff in the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges, where the Supreme Court of the United States decision legalized same sex marriage in this country. For the past decade, he has traveled the globe speaking and advocating for LGBTQ rights and equality. Participants will have the opportunity to directly engage Mr. Obergefell to ask questions.

Moderating the conversation is junior Andrew Niese. Andrew (he/him/his) is a Circle of Excellence scholar in the Lindner College of Business studying business economics and business analytics, graduating in the spring of 2023. He is active on campus, participating in the following student organizations: President of Pride at Lindner; Morgens Hall resident advisor, PACE Leader, Circle of Excellence D&I Liaison, Kautz-Uible Fellowship, The Economics Society, and the Lindner Inclusive Excellence Office.
