Black History Month Paint Party

6:30 - 7:45 p.m.
Join the UC African American Alumni Affiliate (4A) as we partner with Soul Palette, LLC for a virtual private paint party experience! You're have fun, learning to express yourself in a new and exciting way. You will be provided a customized, afrocentric image to paint for the event. All participants will also receive a limited edition Black History Month lapel pin, a gift from Ronald Hart-Brown '12, owner of Huey's Sons Accessories.
You'll be coached virtually by a Brandon Hawkins '08, co-owner of Soul Palette and one of the artist who created the "Black Lives Matter" mural in downtown Cincinnati. This will be a great way to learn a new skills, embrace culture, and get to know others! And yes, you are encouraged to participate with your favorite foods and beverages!
No prior experience needed - just an open mind and a spirit of adventure!
Once registered, you will receive a kit in the mail that includes all of the materials you will need for the experience.
- 1 canvas board (pre-sketched/customized image)
- 1 set of paint brushes (each set includes a pointed detail brush and a flat blending brush)
- basic acrylic paint
- 1 paint water cup
- 1 palette
- 1 paper towel
