Alumni 'Unsung Heroes' Lift Up UC
UC's transformation from a great university to "premier" status – a true leader in 21st century higher education – creates opportunities to become an Unsung Hero in this ongoing success story.
There are many ways for members of the UC family to get involved:
- Become a Sustaining or Life Member of UCAA
It's the most fundamental way to say you care about your university, help ensure its success, and stay connected to your alma mater and UC friends.
- Refer a student to UC
We all know students, or parents of students, who are beginning to consider their college options. As alumni, we need to be UC's best real-life ambassadors and help others see UC's all-around excellence.
- If you're an Ohio resident, put a UC license plate on your car
The distinctive C-paw license plate shows your Bearcat pride on the road, and $25 of the annual $35 fee goes directly to fund scholarships for deserving UC students.
- Attend events with your fellow alumni
There's always something going on at UC - on campus or nationwide via our 30+ regional alumni networks. Your participation strengthens the university community - and you're bound to have fun, too!
- Volunteer in whatever way best suits your talents and schedule
UC's students, faculty and staff depend on alumni to be a key part of the educational process. Alumni can get involved in student mentoring and shadowing programs, student recruitment, helping to organize events like Homecoming or Reunions, coordinating regional network activities, and much more.
- Support the university by supporting the UC Alumni Association's family of corporate affinity partners
They offer high-quality products and services, and a portion of their revenue from alumni business flows directly back to the UC Alumni Association to fund strategic initiatives.
- Connect via UC-related social media
Network with your fellow UC grads on Facebook, LinkedIn, and inCircle, the online community exclusively for UC alums and students.
- Tell others about UC Alumni Association scholarships
UCAA scholarship funds can help defray the costs of attending UC. And there are scholarships set aside strictly for legacy students.
- Contribute directly to the UC Alumni Association
Help the UC Alumni Association thrive through dedicated gifts that advance the organization's important work and create a more vibrant alumni community.
- Make sure we have your current e-mail address
Often, our ability to help each other is a direct result of our ability to communicate quickly and easily with you.
