The University of Cincinnati Alumni Recruitment Team (UCART)
UCART consists of a diverse group of alumni volunteers, primarily across the state of Ohio, who help recruit the best and the brightest students to the University of Cincinnati.
The program provides alumni the opportunity to promote UC by sharing positive experiences and information about the University with prospective students.
The activities of UCART volunteers can vary:
- Prospective Student Referrals
Alumni are encouraged to continuously watch for high-achieving, well-rounded, college-bound students in their community and then refer these students to UC. This activity can take place all year round, and all UC alumni (not just UCART volunteers) can take part in this fundamental student recruitment step.
- Summer Send-offs
UCART volunteers can volunteer to host student receptions in late summer for accepted UC-bound students in their area. These receptions are an excellent way to welcome students into their life-long relationship with the UC community.
- College Fairs
Many UCART volunteers (especially young alumni and UCART volunteers in Ohio) attend college fairs in their areas. In order to participate in college fairs, UCART volunteers must be trained by UC staff. The Office of Admissions determines which college fairs UC will attend.
