UC launches "Proudly Cincinnati"

The University of Cincinnati's largest-ever fund-raising campaign officially kicked off Oct. 25 with a $1 billion goal and a bold, strong and ambitious vision of the future.

Bearcats win National Title - in Waterski!
Who knew UC had a club-sport waterski team? And who could have guessed the team just won the 2008 Collegiate Division II National Championship? The Bearcats recently became the first Ohio team to quality for Nationals in 25 years, and then the first Midwestern team to ever win a D-II title.

New investment establishes UC Brain Tumor Center
A plan to invest $26 million over 10 years has created the Brain Tumor Center at the University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute, which will focus on research and treatment.

Honoring veterans at UC, past and future
UC’s 2008 Veterans Day ceremony honored those who have served their country, emphasized the university’s commitment to educate veterans, and included presentation of an honorary bachelor’s degree to a 92-year-old former student.

Biggest November ever for Bearcat football
Fresh off a heart-stopping upset of West Virginia, the 22nd-ranked Bearcats head to a Nov. 14 nationally televised game at archrival Louisville as they take aim at a Big East championship and the program’s seventh bowl game in nine years.
