UC Dance Team named World Champions The UC Dance Team has long been recognized as one of the finest groups of its kind, but after the recent International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships, they can be called the “best in the world.”

Unilever CEO to address UC graduates The head of Unilever, Paul Polman, will speak to the 2009 graduating class during June 13 Commencement exercises. Polman will be one of one of five alumni to receive special honors that day.

Nightingale Awards honor Nursing excellence More than a dozen alumni, including a University Hospital flight nurse, were this year’s recipients of the College of Nursing's annual Florence Nightingale Awards. The awards celebrate the critical and caring nature of the nursing profession, and recognize those who demonstrate unusual devotion and excellence in the field.
